I absolutely adore that I do not have to depend on JUST magazines to help me find inspiration for styling myself or for helping my clients style themselves when they come in for a session. One of the the hardest things for girls who come in for their Senior Shoot is choosing what to wear. And why wouldn’t it be hard?!?!?! You don’t want to look at that picture in 10 years and wonder “what was I THINKING?!”
The clothing you choose for your session should compliment your personality and your body type. It shouldn’t be about brand, and it shouldn’t just be about trend. Putting elements together that you LOVE is important, and putting things together that make you feel GREAT about yourself is equally important. if you don’t feel good in your clothes, that will translate into your photographs, trust me.
Take the look below. I DIG it. Would I wear skinny leather pants? No WAY! But I totally draw inspiration from this look. Simple fitted black jacket (or super cute fitted black blazer even!) Simple t-shirt with some statement jewelry. Skinny jeans, and a cute pair of shoes. This outfit is on trend, but it won’t be dated because of the classic nature of the colors and simplicity of the patterns.
ANYONE can do this look. Just make it your own.
